Manuscript contents
SB+ 0073-0074, pastedowns
Original title: Pantegni
Author: Constantine, the African, approximately 1020-1087
Language: Latin

Four bifolia from Pantegni, spanning the end of the Theorica (book 10) and the start of the Practica (book 1), cut down and reused as pastedowns (due to which only one side of each is visible). The pastedowns in SB+ 0073 retain the folded strip for attaching endpapers.
Front pastedown, SB+ 0073: the innermost bifolium of a gathering, end of chapter 7 to start of chapter 14 of book 1 (cropped).
End pastedown, SB+ 0073: the inner side of a bifolium, the left hand side includes end of chapter 4 to start of chapter 6 of book 10, the right end of chapter 11 to start of chapter 12 of book 10 (cropped).
Front pastedown, SB+ 0074: the innermost bifolium, the left hand side includes end of chapter 9 to start of chapter 11 of book 10, the left part continues chapter 11 of book 10 (apart from text cropped at bottom of page).
End pastedown, SB+ 0074: the inner side of a bifolium, the left hand side includes end of chapter 8 and start of chapter 9 of book 10 (although the rubric heading is incorrectly that for chapter 10), the left contains part of chapter 11 of book 10 (roughly the second column of f.LVIr and the first column of the verso in Ysaac 1515); (cropped, leaving remains of a red running heading “X”).

Edited: Ysaac 1515
