Probate inventories for deceased within the jurisdiction of the Durham Consistory Court, probably originally extracted from cause papers. These inventories originally formed a complete file, but at what stage they were separated from related
cause papers is not known. A few of the documents are declarations of the value of a deceased's goods instead of a full inventory.
