Two part leaves from a copy of Luke, glossed, wirtten in Northern France, turn of 12th and 13th century, re-used as pastedowns in a composite volume of three printed works bound in the mid 15th century.

No pricking visible. Ruled in soft grey, with some frame lines also by drypoint. Written space 211 x 136 or, front, 138-40 mm; central text column 42 mm or more wide. 43 gloss lines; 22 text lines, using every alternate gloss-line.
Written in proto-gothic textura, expertly, in two sizes.
Running-title, CAS, in alternating red and blue capitals. Decoration: large paraphs to each marginal gloss, in alternating red and blue. Initials, to subsections of text, 1-line, alternately in red with blue infilling and flourishing and blue with red infilling and flourishing.
Written in Northern France ?, 12th/13th century.
