Standard Tuckett binding, mid 19th century full brown calf over thick wooden boards (Charles Tuckett, binder to the British Museum, rebound many Durham manuscripts in the 19th century)

Written in England, 14th century.

Provenance

Note of contents and 'Per F N Kenton', earlier 15th century, on slip stuck to f.iii. Belonged to Coventry [Carmelite friars]: `Habeat hunc librum conuentus couen... dono reuerendi magistri fratris nicholai kenton prouincialis', mid 15th century, f.iiv; Kenton was provincial of the Carmelites 1444-56 and died in 1468,
