Former (1-11) parts of the pasteboards and (12) hinge-strip, in Shelfmark of source: Routh LXXVII.C.7, now SB 0399 - Genesius de Sepulveda, Epistolarum libri septem, (Salamanca: apud Ioannem Mariam da Terra Noua & Iacobum Archarium, 1557), with an early tooled binding and the inscription of the Jesuits of Alcala (Spain) dated 1709. Of the nine numbered chapter-rubrics here vi-viii match 6-8 of the translation in the edition sponsored by Hernando de Talavera (1496), but a second viii is there 15, ix is 16, xxvi is 34, and xxviii-xxix are 26-27, while “Capitulo primero” here has the same rubric as cap. 9 there, where it is the first after the prologue to Bk 2, preceded and followed by text different from that here.
