Pricking in outer margin of piece at the front. No ruling visible. Written space 98-100 mm. wide. At least 30 lines; 10 lines occupy 53 mm.

Written in international notarial cursiva , proficiently, or, the rubrics, in anglicana with single-compartment a.

Decoration

Virgules in red. Text-capitals lined with red. Paraphs, in the form of the angular paragraphus, in red. Initials, to chapters, 2-line, red.

Flyleaves in Shelfmark of source: Bamburgh Z.V.47 - Erasmus, Apophthegmatum ex optimis utriusq. linguae scriptoribus per Des. Erasmum Roterodamum collectorum libri octo. ( [Lugduni] : apud Seb. Gryphium Lugduni, 1556), bound in calf, covers with blind fillets, 17th century, with ownership inscriptions of Joannes Maplisdenus, James Chambers, Rowland Evenwood (later 16th century), and John Shakespeare (early 17th century).
