Manuscript contents
Modern title: Practise leaf
Language: Latin

Scribal practise leaf. A couplet, at the head in the master's hand but only the second line and some descenders remain as the leaf has been trimmed; then the couplet is repeated 11 times by the student, in the same style, but in a darker ink and with the lines not all exactly the same in length. The hand is a high quality calligraphic late gothic script, with the words run together to maximise the use of the page. Blank on the dorse apart from a few penstrokes.
