number of personal anecdotes about the construction of the hotel at Port Sudan, the visit of the King and Queen to Port Sudan in 1912, his contribution to the production of a tourist brochure for Sudan Railways and the role of the Railways in
transporting distinguished visitors up to the end of WW1
