Written in Textualis libraria, with many corrections made by the same scribe.

Decoration

Some expansion of letters into hybrid beasts.

Corrections and annotation

Occasional corrections in a leter 14th century hand.

Binding

Standard Tuckett binding, mid 19th century full brown calf over thick wooden boards (Charles Tuckett, binder to the British Museum, rebound many Durham Manuscripts in the 19th century). Rust and other stains from previous bindings.

Creation

Written in England, Oxford, late 13th - early 14th century.

Provenance

A series of cautiones on f.1r indicating that this book was used as surety against loans of money at Oxford University at the start of the 14th century.
