Contents

As well as the rentals for property in the diocese of Durham and the peculiars of Allerton and Howden, this section of the deposit contains extensive mineral extraction information, and surveys carried out during the Commonwealth further to the sequestration of the property of the bishop of Durham.

Accession details

Deposited by the Church Commission February 1956.

Arrangement

Unit numbers in parentheses are those given to documents by the Church Commission. A letter has been added to each section (A - G) to distinguish the sequences of item numbers.
The boxes in which material is stored are given: it will be noticed that some are stored out of sequence, which is occasionally to accommodate oversize volumes, but most frequently because related material has been found elsewhere in what was a very large and not entirely structured deposit.
