Takedown policy

Copyright on the material digitised on this website may belong to third parties, and where possible permission has been obtained from them to digitise this material for the purpose of putting it on this website. This does not imply any further rights to re-use these images.

Upon receipt of notification the Notice and Takedown procedure is then invoked as follows:

  1. Durham University Library Archives & Special Collections will acknowledge receipt of your complaint by email or letter and will make an initial assessment of the validity and plausibility of the complaint.
  2. Upon receipt of a valid complaint the material will be temporarily removed from this website pending an agreed solution.
  3. If no solution is agreeable, the material will remain unavailable through this site until a a resolution has been reached.
